Sharron Brown
Sharron is a Clinical Nurse Specialist based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Since 2001 she has worked with patients with HIV associated facial lipoatrophy and in 2003 started a nurse led service correcting the visible changes using poly-L-lactic acid injections. She has developed a particular interest in the management of facial lipoatrophy as she believes in taking a holistic approach in order to achieve a result that the patient can feel comfortable with both visually and psychologically. She has also worked as a specialist nurse in aesthetic medicine and is one of the founding board member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN). She is the nurse representative on the board for Joint Council of Cosmetic Practice (JCCP).
Sharron has also presented at conferences, is involved with lecturing, teaching and training. She has contributed to scientific publications. She is also a KOL (Key Opinion Leader) for Galderma.
