Kami Parsa Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgeon

 

Kami Parsa is an Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes exclusively in reconstructive, revisional and cosmetic surgery of the eyes and surrounding tissue. His expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery has made him the choice for patients who have had previous plastic surgery and now need revisional surgery around the eyes. Dr Parsa is a native of California and he attended UCLA where he majored in Aeronautical sciences and Biology. After graduating with honors from the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Dr Parsa completed a residency in ophthalmology at USC’s prestigious Doheny Eye Institute. He then completed a two-year sub-specialty fellowship in Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Dr Parsa is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and fellowship trained by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons. He is a Clinical Professor at USC’s Department of Ophthalmology and USC’s Department of Plastic Surgery. For the past decade, he has been involved in many clinical and basic science research projects. Dr Parsa has also published numerous articles and has been an invited lecturer both nationally and internationally. His current research focus is the use of minimally invasive modalities for periocular rejuvenation.

In addition to maintaining a busy surgical practice and teaching at USC, Dr Parsa is involved in several humanitarian organizations. He is one of the founders of Surgical Friends Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to delivering reconstructive surgery to patients who do not have access to quality medical care. Through this organization Dr Parsa has traveled to many different countries performing life changing surgeries to those in need. In his spare time, he enjoys globetrotting, hiking and spending quality time with his family.
